Jared Gilman from Moonrise Kingdom on Rue d'Antibes in Cannes 3en36While leaving the Palais des Festivals this evening with my friend Clay Thomas, we ran into Jared Gilman, 13, the young up-and-coming actor of "Moonrise Kingdom". He expressed his love of acting and his gratitude to Wes Anderson for his acting advice. Anderson advised Gilman and his co-star Kara Hayward to write letters like they do in the movie. When asked what his favorite films are, Gilman expressed that he recently enjoyed "Drive" and "Moon". Gilman expressed a desire to keep acting in the future, so be on a look out for this young star!
