The SANTA BARBARA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (SBIFF) is looking to hire a professional and customer service oriented VIP Concierge to assist in moving the organization to the next level. SBIFF is a dynamic, rapidly growing, non-profit organization dedicated to enriching local culture and raising the consciousness of film as an art form by presenting an 11-day Festival, Cinema Society and other year round programs. Position: VIP Concierge (VC) for the 2014 Film Festival

Status: Full time, Seasonal (November 2013 February 2014)

Description:
The VIP Concierge works under the direction of the Director of Operations in conjunction with the Executive Director. The VC is responsible for developing and facilitating Festival benefits and activities for VIP clients to include the Private Access and Concierge holders, ists, jurors, distributors and other VIPs participating in the Festival.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: creating schedules for VIP's to maximize their Festival experience, facilitating hotel reservations as needed, VIP seating reservations, VIP parking, arranging transportation as required, preparing welcome and thank you letters, preparation and distribution of amenities. The VC works closely with the Programming department to schedule private screenings and dinners for the jurors and distributors.

Requirements:
Must be organized, self-motivated with the ability to work independently, possess impeccable attention to detail, and have working knowledge of concierge protocol. Reliable transportation, extended hours and a flexible schedule are required during the days leading up to and including the 11 days of the Festival (Jan 30 - Feb 9, 2014). Must be personable with good communication skills (both written and oral), professional and service oriented at all times. Established relationships with local resources are helpful. Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and a minimum of 2 years experience working in the hospitality industry are required.

Compensation:
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. There are no benefits included with this position.
